I create more boundaries now partly because I don't have the energy for blurred boundaries. I have to protect my energy, my mind and my spirit. This practice requires healthy boundaries. Being aware of the need for boundaries was the first step. I bought books about boundaries, but our son has helped me be more attentional about boundaries for my overall wellbeing. Our oldest son is my boundary accountability partner! I monitor my energy. When my boundaries are blurred, I feel drained. My body, mind and spirit remind me to sustain and maintain healthy boundaries.
